Emirates Airline and Proflight Zambia have signed an inter-airline agreement enabling international passengers to connect with destinations in Zambia via domestic flights with a single combined ticket booked through the UAE carrier, and avail of reduced domestic rates.

“Our new partnership with Proflight Zambia opens up a wide range of Zambian destinations for Emirates customers, making exploring more convenient than ever before,” said Orhan Abbas, senior Emirates VP for Latin America, Central and Southern Africa.

The arrangement is expected to benefit both tourism, with expedited access to attractions such as the Victoria Falls and the renowned wildlife haven of South Luangwa National Park at Mfuwe, and business, with Proflight services from Lusaka to the Copper belt city of Ndola scheduled with in-bound and out-bound Emirates flights to Lusaka for smooth transfers.

“This agreement will undoubtedly provide new travel opportunities for Emirates customers, as well as put Proflight and Zambia firmly on the international aviation map,” added Captain Philip Lemba, Proflight Zambia’s director for government and industry affairs.

The joint Emirates-Proflight Zambia itineraries will connect to and from all eight of Proflight’s domestic destinations: Ndola, Livingstone, Mfuwe, Solwezi, Chipata, Mansa, Kasama and Mongu; as well as internationally to Lilongwe in Malawi and Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania.

Customers will enjoy a range of benefits that include special fares to domestic destinations and the same baggage allowance for Proflight customers connecting from Emirates flights.
