    Enhancing Logistics Capabilities

Ziyad bin Abdullah al Harbi, Vice-President of Strategic Planning at Asyad Group, emphasized the strategic importance of this acquisition. “The acquisition of SFS will enhance our ability to enter global markets and broaden the range of services we offer,” he stated. This move is expected to bolster the logistics sector’s contribution to Oman’s GDP and create new opportunities for small and medium enterprises within the sector.

Impact on Global Trade and Logistics

SFS, renowned for its comprehensive freight solutions, serves over 1,400 customers across diverse industries, including food, energy, automotive, pharmaceuticals, and construction. The acquisition will enable Asyad to leverage SFS’s extensive network across 90 geographies on six continents, thereby strengthening Asyad’s multimodal logistics services. The enhanced capabilities will support advances in supply chain management, e-commerce, ports, and container lines, positioning Asyad as the partner of choice for global enterprises seeking integrated GCC logistics solutions.

    Connecting to Global Trade Routes

The acquisition will play a pivotal role in enhancing Oman’s connectivity with major global trade routes. By unlocking new connections and strengthening existing ones with the world’s largest markets, the entire logistics ecosystem in Oman stands to benefit from unrestricted multimodal access and increased trade volumes. This strategic move underscores Asyad’s commitment to becoming a global logistics leader.
