    Nomba secures funding through Base10 Partners and Shopify to expand its reach in the African payment industry.

    Nomba, an African payment service provider, has raised USD 30 million in a funding round backed by Base10 Partners and Shopify. The funding will be used to expand the company’s reach and improve its services in the African payment industry.

    Nomba – Seeking African expansion

    Nomba offers a payment gateway and online payment solutions to businesses in Africa. The funding will be used to expand the company’s reach and improve its services in the African payment industry.

    The funding round was led by Base10 Partners, a venture capital firm that invests in early-stage technology companies. Shopify, an e-commerce platform, also participated in the funding round. The investment will help Nomba to continue to innovate and provide the best payment services to its customers, according to the company.

    “We are excited to partner with Nomba to support its vision of providing seamless payment solutions to businesses across Africa,” said Adeyemi Ajao, co-founder and managing partner at Base10 Partners. “We believe Nomba has the potential to transform the African payment industry, and we look forward to working with them as they continue to grow and scale.”

    Nomba’s CEO, Tunde Salako, expressed his gratitude for the support and confidence that Base10 Partners and Shopify have shown in the company. “We are thrilled to have Base10 Partners and Shopify as investors,” he said. “Their support will help us to continue to innovate and improve our payment solutions, and enable us to reach more businesses across Africa.”

    Nomba offers a payment gateway and online payment solutions to businesses in Africa. The company aims to provide businesses with a seamless payment experience and increase their revenue by enabling them to accept payments online.

    With the investment, Nomba is poised to make a significant impact on the African payment industry through its innovative payment solutions. The funding round led by Base10 Partners and supported by Shopify will help Nomba to expand its reach and improve its services, ultimately benefiting businesses across Africa.

    E-commerce is a leading sector for investment across Africa and the MENA region.
