According to Premium Resources, drilling results at Selebi North suggest significant growth prospects for copper-nickel-cobalt operations.

    Strategic Expansion at Selebi North

Premium Resources Ltd. (site) has reported a significant mineralized step-out at its Selebi North Underground project in Botswana, marking a pivotal development in the company’s exploration efforts. The recent drilling, particularly hole SNUG-25-184, intersected mineralization 183 meters down-plunge from the existing Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE), indicating a substantial extension of the known deposit. The discovery underscores the potential for expanding the resource base beyond current estimates.

    Promising Drilling Results

Drill hole SNUG-25-184 revealed two strongly mineralized intervals of 3.15 meters and 5.20 meters within a broader 13.50-meter zone, located between 772.60 and 786.10 meters downhole. While assays are pending, the presence of massive sulphides suggests a continuation of the mineralized system. This finding is significant as it confirms the down-plunge extension of the South Limb mineralization, previously identified in earlier drilling campaigns.

    Advanced Geophysical Techniques Enhance Exploration

The exploration team at Selebi North utilized Borehole Electromagnetic (BHEM) surveys employing the Crone PEM system, operated by local Batswana staff. These surveys detected a strong conductive response beyond the end of hole SNUG-25-184, suggesting further mineralization down-dip. This geophysical evidence supports the hypothesis of a larger, more dynamic mineral system than previously understood.

    Leadership Perspective and Future Outlook

Morgan Lekstrom, CEO of Premium Resources, emphasized the significance of these findings, “We’re in the initial stage of demonstrating Selebi North’s full potential. This drill hole and the subsequent BHEM response reinforces that with every hole, we are proving that the system is larger and more dynamic than previously understood. With our new strategy fully underway, Selebi North and Selebi Main together have the potential to become one of Africa’s largest copper-nickel-cobalt operations and the foundation for a new, independent supply chain.”

The company has initiated follow-up drilling at Selebi North, with hole SNUG-25-186 targeting approximately 130 meters down-plunge of SNUG-25-184. This step aims to further evaluate the continuity and scale of both the South Limb and N2 mineralized systems.
