CCI Worldwide Logistics makes ₹106 crore investment to expand its presence across the continent to support AfCFTA-driven regional connectivity.

CCI Worldwide Logistics Unveils Trans-Africa Service to Strengthen Continental Trade
CCI Worldwide Logistics (site), a key player in India’s logistics industry, has launched its new Trans-Africa Service, a dedicated freight initiative aimed at boosting intra-African trade. With an estimated investment of ₹106 crore (approximately US$ 12.7 million), the move marks the company’s first major foray into Africa-focused logistics, positioning it as a crucial link in the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) framework.

The Trans-Africa Service will operate across nine countries, including Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Uganda, Zambia and more Nigeria, Kenya, South Africa, Ghana, Egypt, Uganda, and Zambia. The Service will deliver cross-border supply chain solutions to connect markets and simplify trade flows.

    Driving Investment to Enable Growth
The launch of the Trans-Africa Service aligns with CCI Worldwide’s broader global strategy, which focuses on enhancing connectivity in emerging markets. The ₹106 crore investment aims to streamline the transport of key commodity groups such as pulses, auto spare parts, pharmaceuticals, and automobiles. It offers a unified logistics platform that connects shippers, carriers, and customs authorities across South, West, and East Africa through integrated ocean, air, road, and rail networks.

Built as a digital-first solution, Trans Africa features AI-driven smart routing, automated carrier selection, real-time shipment tracking, and mobile-first functionality. Customs clearance is supported by localized digital modules for more than 20 African countries, with API integrations to national customs systems to reduce delays and minimize paperwork.

Additional highlights include unified documentation and compliance tools, real-time notifications via user-friendly dashboards, and a performance-based pricing model designed to improve transparency and operational efficiency.

Satish Singh, Vice President – P&L, CCI Worldwide Logistics said, “The launch of Trans Africa represents a significant milestone in our mission to empower trade across Africa. We’re not just offering a service; we’re providing a catalyst for growth, enabling seamless trade that will contribute to the continent’s economic prosperity and connecting global economies.” He further added, “CCI is poised to become the preferred logistics partner through ‘Trans Africa’ for a diverse range of clients, including importers, exporters, existing freight forwarders and 3PLs, e-commerce companies, and NGOs operating supply chain networks across the continent. By delivering unparalleled efficiency and transparency, CCI aims to bring a new dawn in intra-African and global trade.”

    Positioning for Long-Term Trade Impact
This expansion positions CCI Worldwide as an emerging facilitator of intra-African and Africa-Asia trade and strengthens South-South collaboration. With AfCFTA aiming to create a single market for goods and services across 54 countries, initiatives like the Trans-Africa Service are timely. They offer the infrastructure and operational support needed to drive Africa’s industrialisation and trade-led growth.

The service is expected to serve sectors ranging from mining and manufacturing to retail and agriculture, providing last-mile delivery and customs clearance support in key economic corridors.

As African nations continue to lower tariff and non-tariff barriers, reliable logistics networks like CCI’s will be indispensable for reducing delivery times and enhancing competitiveness in global markets.
