    Sustainable data center provider EcoCloud and tech investment group G42 are set to construct a world-class 1 Gigawatt data center fueled by renewable geothermal energy, marking a revolutionary milestone in Kenya’s digital evolution.

    Strategic location and scale
    The EcoCloud-G42 Mega Data Center is designed to initially operate at 100 MW capacity, with plans to expand to 1 Gigawatt. This venture sets a new standard for sustainable data infrastructure, leveraging Kenya’s abundant geothermal resources to drive technological innovation on a monumental scale.

    Vision for digital transformation
    More than just an infrastructure project, the collaboration between EcoCloud and G42 signifies Kenya’s commitment to harnessing renewable energy for technological advancement. By embracing cutting-edge solutions, this initiative aims to accelerate Kenya’s digital transformation and consolidate its position as a global technology leader.

    Comprehensive ecosystem
    Beyond data infrastructure, the partnership between EcoCloud and G42 lays the groundwork for a comprehensive ecosystem encompassing cloud services and artificial intelligence. With a focus on empowering Kenya’s population, this initiative promises to unlock unprecedented economic opportunities and stimulate innovation, positioning Kenya at the forefront of the digital economy in Africa and beyond.
