Hydroponic innovations from FarmXic promise cleaner, faster, and more sustainable farming for all Nigerians.

A New Era for Urban Agriculture in Nigeria

With rapid urbanization and limited arable land, Nigeria is ripe for an agricultural shift—and FarmXic is answering the call. The Nigerian agritech company has officially launched a range of affordable, easy-to-use soilless farming kits aimed at revolutionizing how city dwellers grow food.

The solutions, developed with hydroponic technology and climate-smart automation, are designed to work without soil, making them ideal for urban settings like rooftops, balconies, schools, and even office complexes.

    Farming Made Accessible

The new product lineup includes three core offerings:

    • FarmXic Starter Kit (₦99,000): Tailored for individuals and families looking to grow their own leafy greens at home with minimal space and setup.
    • Intelligent Hydroponic Kit (₦1.3 million): Designed for urban farmers or SMEs seeking a more scalable solution.
    • Modular Greenhouse Systems (₦2.2 million to ₦22.5 million+): Ideal for commercial farmers or agri-entrepreneurs who want to establish sustainable farms with a higher output.

Each system is engineered to use up to 80% less water than conventional farming methods while producing crops 2–3 times faster—a critical advantage for Nigeria’s growing urban population and climate-sensitive environment.

Driving Adoption Through Education and Outreach

To support first-time growers and ensure long-term impact, the company has launched a multi-pronged outreach strategy that includes:

    • Weekly WhatsApp tips and updates for new users
    • Referral incentives to encourage community expansion
    • Live monthly demo sessions to showcase the kits in action
    • Online webinars aimed at B2B partners, agripreneurs, and potential investors
    • Collaborations with schools, housing estates, and farming co-operatives to pilot the systems in real-world environments

“Redefining How Food Is Grown in Africa”

Nancy Omonhiboloria, Co-Founder & CEO of FarmXic, sees the initiative as a vital step toward greater food security and self-reliance across the continent.

“We’re redefining how food is grown in Africa,” says Nancy Omonhiboloria, General Manager at FarmXic. “With our soilless systems, anyone can grow cleaner, faster, and more sustainably—regardless of their location, land access, or farming experience.”

“We’re on a mission to redefine food production in Africa,” says Nancy Omonhiboloria, founder of FarmXic. “Our solutions empower people to grow cleaner, faster, and smarter using innovative soilless technology—regardless of space, soil quality, or background in farming.”

Empowering a New Generation of Growers

FarmXic’s launch aligns with broader goals around climate resilience, food access, and innovation in agriculture. The company hopes its approach will serve as a model not only for Nigeria but for other African nations looking to modernize and urbanize food production.

With support structures, smart automation, and inclusive pricing, FarmXic’s soilless farming kits are positioned to become a cornerstone of Africa’s urban farming future.
