Zencargo is a digital freight forwarder and offers a comprehensive platform to help companies manage logistics.

In a bid to integrate into the UAE’s dynamic technology, trade, and logistics landscape, Zencargo, a digital freight forwarder and logistics provider hailing from the United Kingdom, has set its sights on establishing operations within the Emirates. This strategic initiative aligns with Zencargo’s broader vision of utilizing the UAE as a launchpad for expanding its operational footprint into Africa and South Asia.

    Zencargo – Digital innovation

Zencargo stands at the forefront of the logistics industry, offering a digital-first platform that empowers customers to seamlessly book, manage, and monitor their international freight shipments. Through cutting-edge analytics, businesses can make informed supply chain decisions that foster growth and efficiency. The company’s comprehensive suite of services encompasses ocean, air, and rail freight, alongside trucking and cargo insurance. By providing instant quoting, simplified booking, and a user-friendly online dashboard, Zencargo delivers substantial time, cost, and paper savings to its clients. With Zencargo, shippers and their partners collaborate effectively, with all supply chain data securely stored in the cloud, facilitating streamlined business analytics.

    The UAE’s Trade Tech Initiative

Zencargo’s decision to establish its presence in the UAE serves as a resounding endorsement of the UAE’s pioneering Trade Tech initiative. Launched in collaboration with the World Economic Forum, this initiative is committed to accelerating the digital transformation of global supply chains. Its objectives include enhancing customs procedures, expanding access to the global trading system for developing countries, and ushering in a new era of trade growth.

    A vision for trade innovation

Of the company’s plans, Dr Thani Bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, Minister of State for Foreign Trade, said: “The UAE is a champion of trade innovation and supports the harnessing of advanced technology to catalyze global trade. Zencargo’s decision to open operations in UAE is the latest example of a ground-breaking company taking advantage of our NextGen FDI program, and the UAE’s dynamic business ecosystem, to pursue their next growth stage, which includes the expansion into new markets. Their utilization of advanced technology to revolutionize freight forwarding is fully aligned with the UAE Trade Tech Initiative, which seeks to deploy the tools of the Fourth Industrial Revolution to bring the global trading system into the 21st Century.”

A commitment to facilitating global trade

Richard Fattal, Co-Founder of Zencargo, expressed his enthusiasm for expanding into the GCC region, saying, “It’s my pleasure to be here in the UAE. At Zencargo, we’re delighted to be expanding in the GCC region, which is undergoing so much growth and with a clear and open attitude to facilitating global trade that we find deeply encouraging. NextGen FDI and the UAE’s free port strategy are clear examples of this, and we are excited to be helping businesses in the region to unlock smarter shipping decisions and connect them with the tools to gain more control over their supply chains.”

Zencargo’s move highlight’s the UAE’s thriving technology and trade ecosystem, and its potentially pivotal role in advancing the digitalization of international supply chains and ushering in a new era of trade growth.
