Al Ain Farms will export local dairy products to countries including Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ghana and Zambia.

Al Ain Farms, one of the largest dairy producers and poultry farms in the GCC, has joined Dubuy.com, DP World’s online marketplace. The company will be able to sell its range of dairy and natural products wherever Dubuy.com operates, including in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana and Zambia.

Al Ain Farms: Dairy and natural products

Al Ain Farms was founded in 1981 by the late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It was the first dairy company established in the United Arab Emirates. Today, the firm is the largest integrated dairy company in the UAE, with four farms under its brand. The company operates as a dairy business, produces fresh juices, camel milk, and poultry where it produces fresh chicken and eggs.

Dubuy.com: Leveraging DP World’s logistics network

Dubuy.com leverages DP World’s integrated global logistics networks, global ports and advanced technologies to assist companies in accessing new markets and territories. According to the company, Dubuy.com has served over 2 million visitors since its launch in November 2021. The site has 10,000 registered users and 2,000 registered vendors, daily trade stands at 1.4 million products sold every day.

Mahmood Al Bastaki, COO of Digital Trade Solutions at DP World, said, “DP World is proud that Al Ain Farms has joined Dubuy.com to expand their market reach outside the UAE. We have no doubt that Al Ain Farms will grow their business further, and we look forward to more UAE companies joining our platform to open up to the rest of the world.”

Hassan Safi, CEO of Al Ain Farms, said, “As the leading dairy and poultry company in UAE, we are honored to start the cooperation with the ecommerce platform DUBUY by DP World, and be part of their journey to provide first class global logistical and technological solutions. We are confident that this cooperation will lead to great export sales in the future across all of Africa where Dubuy.com operates; especially for our unique UAE Camel Milk Powder range under the brand Camelait. We wish this relationship to flourish into more regions and countries being included as the scale of operations progresses.”

In March, DP World announced the launch of Dubuy.com in Tanzania in order to offer local companies greater access to regional markets.

    Ongoing food security concerns

Much of Africa is suffering from a potential food security crisis, predominantly driven by difficulties in importing wheat due to the Ukraine-Russia conflict.
